Head of Amenemhat III

Colossal granodiorite head of Amenemhat III: his face is broader; the eyes, which would originally have been inlaid, are widely spaced and not heavily hooded.

The lips are full. Diagonal muscles under the lower lip suggest tension in the heavy jaw. His expression is sombre, but it seems harsh, even brutal.
